    Your opportunity

    The Global Head of Investments Trading & Compliance Technology is responsible for leading the development and execution of the technology strategy for trading and compliance across Janus Henderson. This role involves collaborating with key internal stakeholders, senior management, and vendors to align trading technology initiatives with business goals, ensuring the delivery of innovative, efficient, and compliant trading solutions across the globe. Key responsibilities include:

    • Develop and implement a cohesive strategy for leveraging the CRD OMS across global trading and compliance functions, aligning with the firm's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage the budget related to the CRD OMS, including licensing, customization, and support costs. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with Charles River Development and other vendors.
    • Develop the OMS product roadmap in partnership with vendors, key stakeholders in the business and technology
    • Build and lead a team of CRD OMS specialists, including product owners, developers, analysts, and support specialists. Provide mentorship and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
    • Manage relationship with the Charles River team and guide the decision process for upcoming patches and upgrades
    • Identify opportunities for enhancing the functionality and efficiency of the CRD OMS through custom development, third-party integrations, or adopting new features from Charles River Development updates

    Must have skills

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field.
    • Extensive experience in technology leadership within the financial services industry, with specific expertise in the Charles River Development OMS.
    • Knowledge of Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Cash Management and Portfolio Accounting
    • Deep understanding of financial markets, trading operations, and compliance regulations.
    • Proven track record in managing and optimizing CRD OMS in a global investment firm.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and product management skills.
    • Strategic thinker with a solid technical background and the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives.
    • Demonstrated experience implementing and upgrade facilitation of enterprise, global systems
    • Experience with software development life cycle and systems integration
    • Knowledge of product management best practices
    • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, engaging both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Broad understanding of Buy Side Order Management Systems, Front and Middle Office services
    • Financial Management and oversight of cloud vendor managed services

    Nice to have skills

    • Experience of Azure or other cloud platforms.
    • Experience of micro-service development and API development
    • Background in Product Management and Agile delivery methodologies
    • Degree educated in mathematics or scientific/engineering discipline.
    • CFA or similar industry qualification
    • Experience of C#, Angular, Databricks and Python
