Client Details

The successful Transport Shift Manager will be joining a very successful blue-chip business who have just undergone a huge growth project within the United Kingdom.

The business have around 9 NDC's and around 1,800 individual stores based across the country.
Our client turnovers over, on average, £500 million per annum.

As a result, my client's FMCG function has now doubled in size and thus requires a strong leader to join their team My client's full focus is on empowering a team to achieve full productivityand therefore you will need to fulfil these ethics to be successful.

Description

As a Transport Shift Manager you will manage a team of around 80+ colleagues on a daily basis, whilst reporting into the Transport Operations Manager.

Your team will look to you for engagement and support across an experience fast-paced FMCG based operation.

Be the main point of contact for transport queries during your shift pattern.
Active management of a Fleet of 80+ HGV vehicles and a vareity of subcontracted hauliers.
Reviewing and ensuring the maximum utilisation of your fleet of vehicles.
Ensuring overall transport compliance in line with VOSA regulations.
Management of a team of 4x Supervisors and over 80+ drivers on a daily basis.
HR related queries 1to1's, Payroll, Disciplinary matters, RTW's.
A main point of contact for the customer service's team and the transport operation.

Profile

Desirable
CPC Qualified.
Ability to operate on either a set days or nights shift pattern.
Experience managing upwards of 50+ drivers.
History with servicing and maintenance schedules of HGV vehicles.
Monitoring and active analysis of driver hours, WTR and Tacho regulations.
A proven motivator, who is passionate about driving both customer and colleague engagement.
Proven experience of operating in a fastpaced environment.
Easily commutable within the wider Castle Donington on the Derbyshire, Leciestershire & Nottinghamshire boarder.

Job Offer
- £42,000-£46,000 on Day Shift
- £52,000-£55,000 on Night Shift
