DEI Business Management & Horizon Scanning - Fixed Term Contract

As a Barclays DEI Business Management & Horizon Scanning, you will work to enable the Chief Diversity Officer and Leadership team to execute their responsibilities, fostering key relationships across the business to ensure priorities are delivered in a timely manner.

As well as business management, you will be accountable for horizon scanning across DEI trends and developing regulatory and investor requirements, ensuring we bring the outside view in and forward plan our priorities to support the enhancement of DEI in Barclays.

What will you be doing?:


  • Supporting the Head of Strategy and Business Management in shaping and operationalising key strategic activity, managing concurrent demands and expectations
  • Embedding and driving progress for our multiyear strategy and ambitions including developing and shaping future direction
  • Horizon scanning DEI trends and developing regulatory and investor requirements to inform forward planning and strategy considerations
  • Managing and influencing a wide range of stakeholders across all levels within Barclays; both in the HR Function and the business (including the ERGs)
  • Managing Annual Reporting requirements including agreeing the data points and insights with EIP legal and key stakeholders, shaping the narrative, and coordination of content
  • Spearheading and managing projects and programmes of work both regionally and globally across the intersectional DEI agendas, councils and task forces
  • Attending meetings with the CDO, Head of Strategy and Business Management or in own right representing leadership, and recording and driving actions where appropriate

  • Excellent analytical mindset, leveraging insightful data to solve problems and influence decisions
  • Experience in taking external researchbased insights and bringing them into internal context and relevance
  • Solid written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Great collaborator and diplomat who thrives in bringing people of all levels together
  • Experience in operating in a matrix environment, with the ability to balance commercial, client, and regulatory needs across businesses and geographies
  • Previous business management experience

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.

With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
