Specialist Customer Care Senior AgentLocation:
Manchester, 4 Piccadilly Place (5 Days onsite)
Duration: 3 months
Hours/week: 35 Hours Per Week
Monday - Friday - 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm
No prior banking knowledge required. Applicable from retail, hospitality, travel, or any customer-related industry. Barclays is seeking candidates with integrity, communication, and empathy.
To kick off your journey, the first three weeks will be dedicated to learning about Barclays, banking, and the role.
Overall Purpose of Role
A Specialist Customer Care colleague caters to the more complex needs of customers based on their specific circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide top-notch customer service on behalf of Barclays to enhance customer satisfaction and positively impact NPS scores
- Take ownership of performance to contribute effectively to team goals. Actively seek learning opportunities for continuous growth. Complete mandatory training to keep knowledge current.
Regularly seek feedback and coaching from colleagues and leaders, commit to improvement actions, and share best practices within the team.
- Maintain high standards in task quality, ensuring accurate and timely solutions for customers- Engage with customers based on company values
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards at all times
- Identify and support vulnerable customers appropriately. Handle sensitive issues and messages efficiently
- Utilize internal systems correctly to maintain accurate customer records

- Experience in a customer-centric role
- Skill in building relationships, anticipating customer needs, and resolving issues effectively
- Ability to adapt to different customer scenarios, explain product offerings, and promote digital solutions
