Job DescriptionBased at Sidlawview Primary School, you will work full time, 37 hours per week, term time only, on a temporary basis until June 2025.

You will have an SVQ3 or SNNB/HNC in Childcare/Education or equivalent (at SCQF level 6 or above), PDA ESQ qualification.
ResponsibilitiesYou will assist in the day to day practice, mentoring and support of Learning and Care Assistants within a school cluster or designated school with an Enhanced Support Area in relation to health and care programmes for pupils with additional support needs.
You will work on your own initiative and as a team member, directly contributes to and support colleagues in the provision of flexible learning and care programmes, which are appropriate to the needs of children and young people in the school and its surrounding community.
The IndividualYou will have experience of working with children and young people with complex additional support needs, working as a team member and of implementing suitable programmes of learning experiences for children and young people with complex additional support needs.
You will also have personal care skills, an understanding of confidentiality, be able to remain calm in a crisis and be willing to undertake personal and professional development.
This post is considered regulated work with children and/or protected adults, under the protection of vulnerable groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
