    Bank Personal Care Assistant Required in Crewe, CW1

    £11.44 per hour

    This post is for bank staff – As and when required to cover staff sickness/annual leave. From October/November 2024 on-wards, maternity cover will also be required so more hours will be available during this 12-month period.

    PLEASE NOTE - My assistant will need to have access to their own car with business insurance cover and have a clean driving license.

    Purpose of the Job

    I am a 32 years young, I have a good sense of humour and I am registered blind. I need support from my Personal Assistant so that I can be as independent as possible. I have a young child and I am currently pregnant, expecting my second child. I also have a cat, so it is very important to me that my personal assistant who supports me is happy to work with children, and is an animal lover.

    I am creative and I enjoying making crafts such as card making and scrapbooking. I also enjoy gardening and will require support from my personal assistant to assist me with my hobbies and interests.

    Main Duties

    To assist me with meal preparation and cooking.

    To assist me with general household chores such as housework and laundry.

    To take me out in the personal assistants own car to support me with social interaction or to attend appointments. *Own car and business insurance required*

    To support me with my hobbies and interests.

    To assist me with shopping when required.

    Night shifts may also be required as and when this is needed.

    To support me looking after my young child – This will include general duties to support me with this, such as assisting to take my child to nursery and back, helping with changing nappies etc.

    The main duties identified in the job description are examples of the expectations required; I may on occasions reasonably request additional activities to be undertaken inside or outside of the home.

    Personal Assistant Specification

    My assistant will need to have access to their own car with business insurance cover and have a clean driving license.

    Experience within the care sector is essential.

    My assistant must be honest, trustworthy, patient and reliable, must respect my privacy and maintain my dignity at all times. My assistant must be enthusiastic and flexible with a caring disposition.

    You must be able to work well independently.

    My assistant will ideally have a good sense of humour.

    My assistant will need to be flexible to provide me with additional support when required, such as to cover sickness or annual leave of one my other personal assistants. This may include being asked to cover a night shift by mutual agreement.

    The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure which will be funded through your employer.

    Supervision

    My personal assistant is accountable to me in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what my needs are and listen to my directions and requests.
