Supplying high technology industries, a leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery is currently recruiting a Controls Support Engineer.You will be required to have all round engineering knowledge of High-Tech equipment with experience of PLC Systems,Software, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
Working within a large team the position will require travel to customer sites throughout the UK and occasionally worldwide.Commutable from:
Birmingham, Solihull, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Redditch, Sutton Coldfield, Telford.
Salary:
Up to£40,000 -£45,000 p.a. + company vehicle + benefits

Controls Support Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, Senior Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, Controls and Automation Engineer, Controls Engineer.
The Role
Working for a recognised and leading manufacturer of specialist machinery you will play a key role within the engineering team and be responsible for on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and offer after-sales technical and commercial support for theorganisations customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
To develop and maintain good working relationships with customers ensuring you are always punctual, helpful and courteous
To observe, abide by and enforce the Company's and client's Health & Safety policies
Timely completion and submission of risk assessments work reports, activity reports and all other documentation
Provide routine servicing and breakdown assistance to customers
Offer feedback on future product development, features and function
Liaise with the appropriate sales team on any potential leads
Provide regular updates to your line manager on any issues that may result in financial reputational or operational impact on the Company
The Person
Working knowledge with PLC programming from scratch
Working knowledge/proficiency with SCADA and associated software
Previous experience at industrial projects, teams and roles
Produce detailed Technical Documentation to a high standard (Design, documentation, Programming, Testing and Commissioning, Electrical design and Drawings using EPlan/AutoCad)
Ability to work well with a team
Preferably qualified to degree level.
