Mechanical (Systems) Engineer - Medical Devices - London - £35,000 - £50,000

I am working with an cutting edge medical device start-up based in the heart of London that specialises in developing microfluidic medical devices, and due to exciting growth, the company are excited to hire a talented mechanical engineer that will be responsible for hardware development, collaborating with other mechanical and electronics engineers on systems design.

Key responsibilities

+ Be responsible for product hardware development, collaborating with mechatronic and electronics engineers

+ Designing, testing, and developing prototypes using 3D CAD

+ Be responsible for helping take product prototypes through to manufacture

+ Python programming and documentation writing

+ Liaise and manage relations between suppliers and contractors

Essential criteria

+ At least two to five years' experience with developing complex electro-mechanical, mechatronics, or robotics systems within the medical device industry

+ Industry experience of both mechanical and electronics domains (mechatronics or robotics experience would be highly advantageous)

+ 3D CAD experience, ideally using SolidWorks

+ Industry experience within medical device or biotech start-ups are also extremely advantageous as you will be operating within a small, dynamic and fast-paced team

+ A degree in mechanical engineering or a similar qualification
