Cedar are currently assisting a fast growing retail business with the recruitment of a Senior EMEA Payroll Advisor on a permanent basis.

Hybrid working

  • 1 day per week in the office and 4 days from home

Location:
West End, London


Salary:
£50,000 per annum + 5% annual bonus + perks/ discounts

Responsible for the end to end payroll on European markets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • End to end responsibility for the European markets payroll
  • Ensure payroll is completed accurately on the scheduled basis in accordance with all relevant employment legislation
  • Point of contact for all payroll related queries, escalating as necessary to the relevant stakeholders
  • Provide assistance to HR during the annual budgeting process with respect to salary and wages information
  • Update and maintain payroll records as directed by HR
  • Adhoc payroll related queries
  • Maintain a well organised and timely filing process for payroll records and other related documentation
  • Calculation and payment of bonuses other compensation elements and taxes
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of all payroll related clearing accounts
  • Prepare wages and bonus accrual calculation on a monthly basis
  • Partnership and continuous communication with HR to ensure all payroll activities are executed accordingly
  • Maintain relevant payroll templates and listings, updating as necessary
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate process documentation for each area of the role. These should be updated and improved as systems and requirements change
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the HR IS and its ongoing execution and performance
  • Provide assistance in reviewing the current payroll providers and assessing any new potential payroll providers on an as needed basis

Skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • Significant payroll experience within European markets mainly
  • Experience with payroll software, like ADP is essential
  • Experience with Time & Attendance & HR IS (Workday preferably) systems
  • Proven knowledge of multi country payroll related legislation
  • Outstanding communicator and a solutions focused problem solver
  • An exceptional eye for detail as well as a proactive and methodical approach to work
  • Ability to adapt to change and to identify continuous business improvement opportunities
  • Vendor management exposure
