Description
We are looking for a Service Assurance and Continuity Manager to join our Risk team.

In this role you will ensure the quality, completeness and accessibility of key data and information supporting BAU service management.

This role supports compliance withthose key resolution preparedness capabilities all large and mid-tier Financial Services Firms need to satisfy, irrespective of their financial strength on relation to the Bank of England's Resolvability Assessment Framework, (RAF) and Operational Continuityin Resolution, (OCIR).

The Service Assurance and Continuity Manager will ensure the maintenance and change management of OSB Group Service Catalogue information and manage BAU Group Function colleagues through their responsibilities for annual attestationsand Service Catalogue refreshes.

What you will be doing:


In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead on OCIR management information reporting and provision of information from the service catalogue to Finance.

You will be responsible for operationalising Business Service Owner and Operational Asset Ownerroles throughout the Group, working collaboratively with operational resilience, operational risk and vendor management teams.

You will support enhancements to the functionality and data available in the Service Catalogue and will be the primary service cataloguechampion and relationship manager.


You will report directly to the Head of Resolution and Continuity, providing the maintenance and update of data, documentation and evidence that underpins both the Groups assessment of its own resolvability and the ready access to key information and datathat would be provided to the Board, Executives and the Financial Crisis Management Team, (and a Bail in Administrator and Independent Valuer, in the event of resolution).

You will partner with key managers throughout the Group Functions in the UK and Indiaand with IT Service Management and Finance in service catalogue management.


You will lead the identification, design and development, production and scheduling of regular MI packs supporting the assessment of stress and decision making associated with Resolution and Restructuring more broadly on behalf of the Head of Resolutionand Continuity and support annual fire-drills.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Service Management
  • Acting as the Group Service Catalogue Champion for the ServiceNow OCIR Service Catalogue; managing, reviewing and approving data updates, changes and enhancements to the system and acting as a 'super user' to navigate the system, produce reports and supportother users.
  • Supporting the strategic enablement of the Service Catalogue tool, (with users, [Business Service Owners] and data providers, [Operational Asset Owners], IT and Change functions) as required.
  • Planning, designing and organising the processes for cycles of Service Catalogue Maintenance and Attestation with Business Service Owners and Operational Asset Owners, triggering updates and assessment reviews, ensuring data and information that would needto be accessible in resolution is available, accurate and up to date.
  • Training Business Service Owners and Operational Asset owners in the responsibilities of their role and the tools and reporting available to them.
  • Scheduling and managing annual cycles of Self Assessments for OCIR and all other RAF Barriers.
  • Documenting results and findings highlighting data for amendment and areas for enhancement to ensure full compliance and build out and track action plans to deliver these capability enhancements.
  • RAF Management Information provision
  • Identification, design and development, production and scheduling of regular MI packs, with MI teams, supporting the assessment of stress and decision making associated with Resolution and Restructuring, which will include operational and service data butwould also cover financial metrics and capital and liquidity early warning indicators.

Could you be the one?
We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:

  • Previous experience of working in a Risk Management role is key
  • Good knowledge of data management, data review or modelling is essential, aligned with strong skills in systems implementations
  • Previous experience of Financial Services Regulation Implementation and Prudential Standards and Rules assurance is key
  • Previous Financial Services experience is preferred
  • Robust knowledge and understanding of Financial Services Regulation Implementation, Prudential Standards and Rules assurance is preferred
  • Robust knowledge of risk management processes, procedures and controls is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of ServiceNow or similar service mapping system/tool would be advantageous
