I am looking for an experienced Buyer to join a leading Engineering and Manufacturing organisation on full time and permanent basis.

You will be responsible for demand determination, order and expediting activities in line with business needs and maintenance of internal data systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience within a Procurement or Supply Chain position within a similar industry.

Job Description

Responsible for determining demand, maintaining system data integrity and management of ordering and expediting activities in support of business requirements
Accountable for the development of relationships with key suppliers and ensuring current and future performance meets expectations.
Work closely with internal customers to identify, develop and deliver effective commodity strategies
Ensure that deliveries are scheduled from appropriate sources of supply to support customer demand whilst satisfying business requirements

Verify demand driven by MRP and take appropriate actions in response to changes in demand, inventory levels, supply issues etc.

Resolve any day-to-day issues and support wider supply chain performance objectives.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Strong experience working within a Procurement/Supply Chain role.
Capable of driving projects through to completion.
Computer literacy including competence in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint Word & SAP.
