    Description

    We have a fantastic opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Quality and Governance Team based in the Midlands. This role will be remote, with regular regional travel to EMED sites and some national travel.

    This is a new, exciting role within EMED Group with the autonomy to manage your own workload. You will be the lead on operational management of medications. The role will include conducting onsite audits and medicine management across our bases.

  • Other duties include:

  • EMED's lead on operational management of medications
  • Physical visits to sites to carry out drug / medicine audits across the business
  • Medicine management alignment across all EMED sites within the business
  • Point of contact and officer for oversight and update of medicines alerts
  • Auditing and monitoring of drugs used by staff
  • Controlled drug accountable officer (CDAO)
  • Drug replenishment and stock control of medicines across sites
  • Notifications to regulators, as required
  • Auditing and checking quality of drug holdalls to ensure they are fit for practice at all sites
  • Auditing and implementing increased physical security measures to site if required
  • Auditing and implementing temperature control measures to site if required
  • Involvement with external stakeholder around bids and mobilisations of contracts
  • Assurance of security of medicines across sites
  • Supporting and training staff
  • Knowledge and qualifications

    Registered with the GPhC, with active PIN
