Description

An established manufacturing business is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to work in a small team to assist with purchase ledger for a maternity cover.

You will be reporting to the Finance Manager and working with a colleague to ensure that all invoicesare correctly processed and paid in a timely manner.


Key tasks and responsibilities:


  • Processing of UK and overseas invoices / credit notes (GBP / USD / EUR)
  • Resolution of price and quantity queries with suppliers prior to payment
  • Processing receipts onto client accounts
  • Weekly payment runs via BACS
  • Matching PO's and GRN's to invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Month end Purchase Order accruals
  • Processing of staff expenses
  • Liaison with other departments in relation to pricing / query resolution

Skills and experience required:


  • Minimum of 1 years' experience of Purchase Ledger
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables / VLOOKUP's use of only not creation)
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Must be able to work using own initiative as well as being part of a team
  • Numerate with the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally at all levels
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise to meet monthly deadlines
  • Experience of data analysis and reporting

Hours:


  • Either 08:0016:00 OR 09:0017:00 with a 30minute lunch break

Salary and benefits:

- £25,000

  • 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
