    Job summary

    An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Division of Medicine Administration team for an enthusiastic individual to join us as an Apprentice successful candidate must be customer focused, with exceptional communication and interpersonal will have opportunity to develop the skills that help provide a comprehensive and effective administrative service as well as gaining insight into the provision of education and development within the be successful in this role you will possess computer literacy and a good education. For example: excellent interpersonal and IT skills and to include GCSE Maths and English Grade A-C (or equivalent). You must have effective communication skills and be adaptable to meet the service needs.

    There are two posts available, one inIM CSU Secretarial & Admin Support and another inIntegrated Medicine Management.

    Main duties of the job

    Provision of a comprehensive and effective administrative service to support the smooth and efficient running of the CSU, which is part of the high quality service delivered by our busy Division of will be required to work as part of a team, communicating effectively and courteously with a wide range of internal and external personnel using various IT applications and updating training data.

    Knowledge

    Essential

  • Knowledge and understanding of the standard range of Microsoft Office Programmes
  • A good understanding of the requirement to respect privacy and maintain confidentiality, acting appropriately and professionally when dealing with any sensitive information
  • Desirable

  • Knowledge of general office duties
  • Experience

    Desirable

  • Experience of working with members of the public, including dealing with difficult customers
  • Experience of working in a healthcare environment and/or patient care
  • Qualifications

    Essential

  • Good standard of GCSE or equivalent level education including English Grade C, or equivalent ( National Adult Certificate Level 2 Literacy) and Mathematics Grade C or equivalent ( National Adult Certificate Level 1 Numeracy)
  • Willingness to undertake NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service or NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration
  • (Must not hold previous Level 2 or above Apprenticeship in Business and Administration)
  • (Must not hold Level 4 or above qualification (degree, HNC, HND, Foundation degree etc.))
