The Company
The role is working on a 2-shift pattern on a salary of circa £42,500
Nigel Wright is pleased to be supporting a high-volume manufacturer operating within a fast paced and customer centric environment. They are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support with the significant growth and increased head count on site.

The Role
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for

  • Follow routine and preventative maintenance programs and undertake appropriate preventative maintenance checks during planned production downtime to ensure that the equipment and machinery are available for production
  • Carry out overhauls, upgrades and rebuild equipment, including machine and process modifications where appropriate, to ensure continuous improvement
  • Proactively work to solve equipment issues using effective fault diagnosis skills and implement immediate containment, together with longer term innovative solutions
  • Undertake the commissioning and installation of new equipment as required to support new production or the improvement of current processes
  • Carry out evaluation and risk assessments within all areas of the plant to ensure safe working methods and environment
  • Raise any issues regarding production with the appropriate personnel to ensure quality is maintained and downtime minimised
  • Undertake any training as necessary to ensure flexible job rotation and skills matrices are maintained to promote future development
  • Working effectively within a team, with strong communication
  • To continually promote and improve 5S standards across site

Person Specification
The successful Maintenance Technician will have

  • You will have completed a HNC or accredited time served apprenticeship
  • Have experience working within a dedicated maintenance role within a manufacturing environment
  • Used PLCs to fault find on a variety of equipment
  • You will be selfmotivated and passionate about personal development
  • Flexibility on working shifts and overtime as required
