    This position is offered on a permanent part -time basis working 3 consecutive days / week (21 hours)

    • Located at Uniting's Counselling and Mediation Centre in Penrith
    • Additional workday can be negotiated
    Uniting has a long history of high-quality service delivery, being well regarded, and connected with family law stakeholders.

    As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP), you'll provide FDR to families' post-separation who are experiencing various levels of conflict and are unable to reach agreements about children or property.

    Online video appointments, legally-assisted mediation and child inclusive practice are examples of Uniting's innovative FDR practices. Applicants who are unsure of eligibility should contact the AGD Practitioner Accreditation Unit. Tertiary qualifications in law, psychology or social work.
    An understanding of the process and purpose of child inclusive mediation practice.
    Knowledge and understanding of community services, especially those relating to families experiencing relationship difficulties.
    Understanding of child protection issues.
    Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as be able to contribute to the functioning of the team.
    Excellent communication, organisation and writing skills.
    Computer literacy.
    Training and mentoring with the opportunity to improve and learn new skills.
    You receive up to 3 ex-gratia days (on top of annual leave)

    Employment with Uniting is subject to satisfactory background checks which may include a National Police, reference and Working with Children checks.
