Finance Team for a permanent
Regulatory Reporting Specialist based at our Cardiff or Newport offices, with the opportunity to work in a hybrid way.

What will you be doing?
As Regulatory Reporting Specialist you will have a key role within our Finance team.

You will be responsible for producing reporting across the whole suite of regulatory and statistical returns, encompassing elements of COREP, FINREP, other PRA/FCA reporting and Bank of England statistical reporting.

You will gain exposure to all elements of finance and prudential risk management, including capital and liquidity adequacy, interest rate risk and portfolio analysis.

You will be committed to producing all returns to a high level of accuracy and within relevant timeframes in line with the requirements of the Society's control framework.

You will ensure regulatory reporting models and systems are operating effectively, that reconciliations to source data are performed and that operational policies and procedures are maintained to a high standard.

Building strong relationships across Finance and the wider Society and working with a continuous improvement mindset, you will play a key role in delivering regulatory reporting projects and initiatives, including automation and process improvements.


What type of person will you need to be?

Experience of financial reporting in the context of a retail bank or building society is required (within either practice or industry), with a good working knowledge of financial, capital and liquidity principles desirable.

Relevant experience in regulatory reporting within a building society or retail bank is desirable but not required.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team;

Excellent numerical and analytical skills;

The ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements;

The ability to produce accurate and timely information with a strong attention to detail;

The ability to plan and co-ordinate effectively to meet externally imposed deadlines;

The ability to think logically and solve problems;

Good proficiency in Excel.

Salary:
£40,000.00 per year
