Stores and Manufacturing Operative

Full time permanent role

Mon-Fri close to station, free parking at office and nearby streets

Burgess Hill

Salary:
£21700 per year plus very good company benefits

We are delighted to be working alongside our superb local client as they seek to recruit a full time Stores / Manufacturing Operative to join their friendly team in Burgess Hill.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a really excellent organisation who continue to grow and expand their business.

The role:

To be responsible for timely, accurate production and storage of components to the required standards.

Working closely with the Production Team leader/Production Supervisor to maintain production schedules, stock, and ensure production output satisfies client specifications and guidelines as well as the companies exacting standards.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Maintain company quality control standards

Goods inwards inspection, check goods are not damaged and delivery paperwork is correct

Stock movement and location - ensure all stock is in the correct location in a timely manner.

Ensure you use the first in first out process. All stock to be rotated to show this and stored in the correct location

Ensure all goods are logged on to the Courier despatch system and labelled ready for despatch at the end of the day

Regular stocktaking

Maintaining a clean, tidy, organised, and safe workshop and work area at all times

Assisting other Production Operatives and Team Leader as instructed and directed by Supervisor

Experience and competencies required:

Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Reliable and hard working

Attention to detail, consistency, and high levels of accuracy at all stages of stores and production

Previous experience of stores and goods inwards would be advantageous

Thorough, responsive, consistent and good attention to detail

Self-starter and able to take own initiative and responsibility in solving problems

Enjoys learning / quick to learn

Is flexible, self-motivated and punctual
