    Salary:
    £46,313 - £50,789 per annum inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, subject to salary review
    Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, all year round (40 working weeks)

    Orchard Hill College is an Outstanding Specialist College (Ofsted, November 2019) offering life-changing learning opportunities to young people and adults with a range of special education needs and/or disabilities.

    We have eight vibrant community-based College Centres across London and Surrey where committed, specialist teams deliver a range of programmes to meet the needs of over 400 students.

    Students who study with us have a wide range of needs including profound and multiple learning disabilities, communication and behavioural difficulties and specific medical needs.

    their learning programmes are designed to support and empower them to achieve their aspirations and goals, whilst developing skills to become more independent members of their community.

    The College is also an Academy sponsor and established Orchard Hill College Academy Trust in 2013 which is home to 14 special schools.

    Together Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust provide for over 1500 pupils and students with SEN across London, Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire.

    We are looking for a leader who can provide specific curriculum expertise to our teaching teams, model good practice and assist the Deputy Head of College Region in managing the quality of teaching and learning within the department.

    This role involves leading on a specific curriculum area, assisting with the development of the curriculum, allocation of resources, supervision and support of staff to ensure effective, learner-centred teaching that meets the needs of adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

    You will also work with the management team to further develop the College into a valuable resource centre for fellow professionals.

    The successful candidate will need to have a thorough understanding of the curriculum and a wide range of teaching experience with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

    You should also be used to planning educational programmes.
