    Exciting Opportunity for a Design Technology Teacher in Levenshulme

    Are you a creative and innovative Design Technology Teacher looking for a new challenge? Teaching Personnel is pleased to present a full-time position for a Design Technology Teacher at an Ofsted Good secondary school in Levenshulme.

    This role is available to start in September for the full academic year, with the potential for permanency based on performance.

    As a Design Technology Teacher, you will inspire and educate students in various areas of design and technology, including Resistant Materials, Graphics, Textiles, and Product Design.

    You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing Design Technology lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, ensuring that all students develop practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.


    Curriculum Delivery:

    Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons covering a range of topics and projects, fostering students' creativity, technical skills, and innovation.

    Organise and supervise practical design and technology workshops and activities, allowing students to develop hands-on experience with a variety of materials, tools, and techniques.


    Design Process:

    Teach students the design process from concept development to prototyping and evaluation, encouraging them to think critically, solve problems, and create functional and aesthetically pleasing products.


    Collaboration:

    Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Design Technology department and across the school to share best practices, resources, and ideas for enhancing teaching and learning.

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialism in Design Technology or related field.
    Strong subject knowledge across various areas of design and technology, including Resistant Materials, Graphics, Textiles, and Product Design.
    Previous experience teaching Design Technology at the secondary level, preferably within a UK school setting.
    Commitment to fostering creativity, innovation, and technical proficiency among students.
    Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £46,525 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
