    Description

    We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Facilities Officer to join a friendly team and be responsible for the maintenance of the school's premises and equipment. You will have experience delivering maintenance across a wide skill set (i.e. carpentry, joinery, plumbing) and demonstrate a good understanding of customer service in a facilities environment. Flexibility will be required as the role involves additional hours during evenings and weekends.

    The Facilities Officer, as part of the team, plays a key role in the provision of an outstanding security and maintenance service to Francis Holland School. This role has a particular focus on supporting the hiring of the school to external groups. As an important first contact with the school, the officer's appearance is important and the wearing of a uniform will be required. The officer is expected to be alert to potential security and/or building issues and keep the Facilities Manager informed.

    Hours of work: The school operates from 06:00 - 21:00 (Mon-Fri); this role requires an 8-hour shift that will be 11:00 – 21:00. Additional hours will include regular Saturday work which will be paid as overtime. Sunday overtime will be shared on a rotation basis with the existing facilities team.
