    Job summary

    We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and talentedRadiographer to join this well-established, friendly, hardworking team.

    Preferably with CT experience, however a training post (Band 5 grade) would beconsidered if the appropriate candidate was identified.

    A flexible workingapproach is essential to delivering the highest quality of care to patients atTRFT along with an efficient service. The current CT service has expanded due to the increase in demand with arolling shift pattern of contracted hours over seven days including nightshifts.

    There have been some exciting changes for the CT department here atRotherham with the newly developed CT suite in the acute hospital which has anew Siemens Somatom Drive Dual source CT scanner and a Siemens AS+ 128 slice CTscanner. Also cross-site the newly developing Rotherham Community DiagnosticCentre supported by a Siemens Somatom Go 32 Slice CT Scanner. Both departmentsoffer an excellent service and opportunity to Rotherham patients and staff.

    The CT Service provides services to Trauma, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Obstetricsand Gynaecology, ENT, General Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Breast, Neurologyand Stroke Services.

    We actively support post graduate education and haveAdvanced Practice CT Radiographers reporting CT Head and CT Colonographyexaminations. We make every effort to support growth here at TRFT, looking atinnovative ways to develop personally and professionally.

    Main duties of the job

    The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, professionalism and a flexible approach to work in order to deliver excellent patient care and provide an efficient service.

    The working day consists of a varied mix of inpatients and outpatients and excellent team work is vital in order to deliver this service.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography
  • Evidence of continual professional development
  • Desirable

  • Demonstrable relevant experience as a Radiographer.
  • Experience within CT
  • Trained in Cannulation and to inject contrast media
  • Anaphylaxis Training
  • Post graduate education
  • Completed rotations in specialties and experience of audit/research
  • Knowledge

    Essential

  • Evidence of training in all radiographic techniques
  • Knowledge of professional standards in keeping with professional registration ( HCPC)
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of radiation protection, IR(ME) R2017, IRR 17 and radiographic protocols
  • To be able to work without direct supervision
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism
