- Positive Behavior Management: Implement effective strategies for managing challenging behaviors, creating a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
- Collaborative Working: Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and external agencies to develop and implement personalized learning plans for SEN students, monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as needed.
- Inclusive Practice: Promote a culture of inclusion and acceptance, where all students feel valued and respected for their unique strengths and abilities.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience working with SEN students, particularly those with challenging behaviors.
- Specialist knowledge and training in SEN and behavior management strategies.
- Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and implement new strategies to support SEN students.
