The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

A UK PLC with head office located in Windsor, Berkshire UK.The role is responsible for daily routine maintenance and to programme, set up and operate a range of CNC Machines to produce ceramic components accurately to drawings issued and to the required specification and quality, while operating safely and ethically.
This role is an exciting opportunity to join a small dynamic team, supporting the manufacture of products for the semi-conductor, healthcare and industrial industries.
To program, set and operate a range of both manual and CNC Machines in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.
To operate CNC Machinery to produce ceramic components accurately to engineered drawings and within the production target times, ensuring scrap level's are minimum.
To have experience and understanding of geometric tolerances within a self inspection environment where quality and accuracy is of paramount importance as you will be working to tight tolerances.
Maintain quality and quantity with strong sense of accountability and standards.To input production data accurately & correctly using the IFS system, including work instructions.
To learn and develop an understanding of the quality system.
Help lead and support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S or Lean manufacturing.
Perform mechanical and visual inspection of ceramics using various inspection equipment.
Ensure that machines are producing quality products by performing periodic checks on output.
Must be flexible with cross-training in other departments.
Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all EHS related guidelines and company policies and procedures.
Guidelines include but not limited to participation in required EHS training and use of proper PPE.2+ years' experience with CNC Machine Programming, Setting and Operating.
Experience with programming languages (e.g. Precision grinding - components to be machined from 5mm diameter parts with 1mm bores, up to 1m blocks with milled forms, PCD drilling
Strong knowledge of machining operations in a manufacturing setting.
(Basic hours of work are 37 hours per week working the dayshift for training:
7:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday (1/2-hour lunch) and 7:30am to 12:30pm on Friday.
Shift working on a weekly rotation is also in operation on this site of which you may be required to cover as business needs dictate.
