    SF Executive
    Default job background
    Description

The OrganisationSF Executive are working with a market leading, PE-backed business services organisation based in Bedfordshire who are in search of a Technical Project Manager to support the driving of continuous improvements and high standards across all operations.

Role ScopeThe Technical Project Manager role is a wide-ranging position which currently spans elements of technical, operational, and commercial.

You will be a key component in all aspects of project scoping, speccing, and delivery across a portfolio of exciting external clients.

You'll also work with a variety of internal stakeholders to build key partnerships with the Business Development, Design and Build, and Operations / Project teams.

The role requires a truly creative and critical eye for engineering detail, centring around looking at the feasibility of new projects ("can it be done?") and the subsequent planning to ensure that the project is delivered ("how can we deliver it?" and "what resources do we need to deliver it?") safely and on time.

PersonThe successful Technical Project Manager will:

Have experience of undertaking a similar role within a related industry – that could range from staging, rigging, scaffolding, steel works, substructures, or big tent; BUT will need to have the backdrop of TDS in the events / entertainment industry.

Have had a broad exposure to engineering in previous roles (but with the broader base of a civil engineer rather than the load analysis focus of a structural engineer) and having a keen interest and curiosity around that subject matter.

Be able to critically assess the feasibility of projects and be prepared to challenge – not taking everything on face value will be key in this area.

Be adept at working alongside a Design / CAD team.

Be innovative in your approach – this role will suit someone with a strong character that can build relationships with many different and challenging stakeholders.

LocationThe incumbent will need to be within commuting distance of Bedfordshire given the need to be both visible and to engage with multiple internal stakeholders.
