    Job Overview:

    As a Sales Representative for Hamsons Ltd., you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence and driving sales within the South Asian market segment in London. Your primary responsibility will be to promote and sell our premium Basmati Rice, spices, and future product lines to retailers, wholesalers, and businesses catering to the South Asian community. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your sales experience and cultural understanding to establish strong relationships and drive growth within the vibrant ethnic markets of London.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Sales Generation: Promote and sell Hamsons' range of Basmati Rice, spices, and future products to South Asian stores, supermarkets, wholesalers, and other relevant businesses in the designated territory.
    2. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, including shop owners, managers, and buyers, to maximize sales opportunities and foster long-term partnerships.
    3. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences within the South Asian market segment to identify sales opportunities and potential areas for growth.
    4. New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting for new customers, attending trade shows and events, and exploring strategic partnerships within the South Asian community.
    5. Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of Hamsons' product portfolio, including Basmati Rice varieties, spices, and future offerings, and effectively communicate product features, benefits, and value propositions to customers.
    6. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring timely order processing and delivery.
    7. Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback, and provide regular sales reports and updates to the operations manager.
    8. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and product development, to support promotional activities, product launches, and overall sales strategies.

    Basic Requirements:

    1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales within the South Asians, Middle Eastern grocery markets within the London metropolitan area.
    2. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
    3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively present products and persuade customers.
    4. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    5. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
    6. U.K. resident or British citizenship required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with an emphasis on sales and marketing related subjects.
    2. Fluency in languages commonly spoken within the South Asian community, such as Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi.
    3. Proficiency in English, reading and writing.
    4. Familiarity with CRM software for sales tracking and management.
