    We are working with a Not-for-Profit in Slough to recruit a Senior Finance Officer. The role is paying £30,000 - £34,000 + generous holiday entitlement + local authority pension scheme + hybrid working.

    Our Not-for-Profit client in Slough supports c20k pupils with over 2000 employees. This organisation values a team-focused environment offering to all their pupils and staff the best platform possible to be successful. Their offices are close to local transport links and offer parking on-site.

    Senior Finance Officer:

    • Assist with the production of the management accounts and monthly workbooks, and communication with the for variances on the figures.
    • Maintenance of balance sheets and fixed asset registers, ensuring these are up to date and action taken where necessary, in a timely manner.
    • Support with the production of the monthly VAT return.
    • Provide high level professional financial advice and support to colleagues.
    • Identify areas for improvement in process to ensure team are being as effective as possible.
    • Support with any external and internal audit visits.
    • Responsible for ensuring finance procedures are correctly followed.
    • Attend finance meetings and training sessions as and when required.
    • Maintain appropriate financial records (Paper & Electronic).
    • Completion of Balance Sheet, Bank, Credit Card and Income reconciliations.

    Senior Finance Officer:

    • It is essential you are AAT qualified or have a willingness to work towards full qualification.
    • You must have experience working with financial procedures and controls.
    • Knowledge of VAT.
    • It is important you can provide working examples completing prepayments and accruals.
    • Experience of budget setting.
    • Ability to use a range of finance software packages.
    • A confident user of excel.
    • Strong working background of month end and year end processes.
    • A desirable would be Not-for-Profit sector experience.

    £30,000 - £34,000.

    31 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays.
