    We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy Team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool.

    This role offers you the opportunity to work flexibly within a prison setting, a crucial role within the healthcare team, administering medication on the wings, supporting the dispensary and complete IPRA reviews. Hours: This role is offered on a Bank basis, with flexible shifts which can be discussed at interview. Salary: This is a Bank position, and you will receive an hourly rate of How will we support you?

    Main duties of the job

    As our new Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

  • Provide outstanding quality based care to all patients
  • Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback
  • Administer medication in line with health in justice policy
  • Provide a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring standard operating procedures are followed
  • Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals

    Our new Pharmacy Technician will:
  • Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council with at least NVQ Level 3, or equivalent
  • Have relevant post qualification experience
  • Be up to date with their Continued Professional Development (CPD)
