Description
To lead the Site Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance teams, providing reactive & pro-active support to a varied range of production operations, to ensure:-
-A high level of availability & output from all processes on site
-Responsibility of Environment, Health and Safety duties for the maintenance department
-Improved equipment reliability & optimisation
-Effective cost control, responsibility for site maintenance budget
-Compliance with the site operating permit, and other statutory (legal) requirements
-COMAH knowledge and operational exposure
-Effective contractor control
-High standards of engineering
-Technical expertise is provided for all maintenance activities
-Efficient utilisation of available manpower through effective delegation of tasks, projects and specific responsibilities to Departmental Engineers. Follow up and audit to monitor achievement.
-Ensure shutdown programs are prepared, well planned and executed as per schedule
-Continuous improvement programme is managed
Requirements
-Technical qualifications in an appropriate engineering discipline
-At least 5 years proven experience in engineering management
-Ideally a wide range of knowledge of engineering principles, as well as chemical process experience
-Prior experience of a continuous press process or wood panel board manufacturing would be advantageous
-Ability to investigate, understand and resolve technical issues quickly & efficiently
-Man Management abilities
-Planning & organisation skills
-Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards & a high level of performance
