John Crabbie and Co. have been purveyors of wine and spirits since 1801. An absolute pioneer in his field, John Crabbie's involvement in the Scottish whisky industry is legendary.We are now looking for a Supervisor to oversee the smooth running within our Bottling Hall & Warehouse Operation.
Overview
You will be responsible for the day to day operational needs of the business, manning levels and supervision of the team to reach defined targets.
- Ensure specification sheet is followed at all times
- Ensure all bottling is conducted in accordance with Company hygiene requirements.
- Operation of all downstream equipment. Knowledge of all operating screens/controls.
- Participate in line equipment changes as required.
- Identify and rectify basic faults on Rinser, Filling, Labeller, and Capsule machinery.
- Ensure that materials are effectively used and wastage is minimised and kept within
- Ensure that the bottling equipment is maintained. Feed machines with materials and
- Connection and movement of pipework to pumps and associated equipment.
- The offloading of bulk liquid tankers, casks both full and empty and dry goods.
- To make, dilute, filter and transfer a range of alcoholic beverages following approved
- To clean, pack and use sheet filters for the preparation of products prior to bottling.
- To clean tanks and sterilise product filling lines and fillers, using the automated CIP plant
- Disgorging of casks for bottling.
- General warehouse duties storing stock and materials in designated areas. Collecting

- Highlight any consumable shortages to avoid unnecessary downtime.
- Ensure daily production programme is completed in the most efficient or priority order
- To ensure maximum effective utilisation of machinery and run machinery at the correct

- To ensure that all tasks are done with the minimum product loss.
- Lifting of bags and containers up to 25kg and manually roll empty and full casks adhering
- To ensure specification sheet and SOP are followed at all times.
- To abide with Custom & Excise regulations
- To assist in the training of other Bottling Hall / Warehouse colleagues.
- Previous experience in a drinks manufacturing environment.
- Selfmotivated, dedicated, resourceful, adaptable and flexible
- Able to lift and handle large kegs
- Team player with good communication
- Ability to freely contribute to continuous improvement and suggestions.
- Punctual
- Possess a good level of literacy and numeracy
- Desire to undertake ongoing training
- GCSE Level or equivalent education.
