    Within this role, you will be delivering day to day operational activity focused on internal and external customer management and overall team wellbeing.     Providing a comprehensive Surveying resource for the Assets Department, covering all aspects of Responsive Repairs, Major Works, and Voids

    We are happy to offer hybrid working with this role; You will be required to be in the office for around 2/3 days per week with the rest being from home, however please bear in mind we may need you to be in the office more within your probation and training. It's important to us that you feel fully ready and confident in the role before working from home. Of course if you'd prefer to be in the office more, then that is completely fine with us too

    Your responsibilities...

    • Inspect housing stock and building works, prepare specifications, compile. tender/contract documentation to deliver repairs and void works.
    • Work within authorised budgets and to agreed quality standards.
    • To excel in customer care provision.
    • Assist all colleagues and contractors to achieve top quartile performance. all aspects of maintenance services.
    • Limit risk to the organisation through working knowledge of legislation risk management.

    Our ideal candidate...

    • Qualified to minimum HNC standard, or previous. experience in a Construction / Maintenance environment
    • Experience of scheduling building / planned. maintenance works and contract administration.
    • Knowledge of housing maintenance, repair specifications, diagnosing defects and remedial works.
    • Knowledge of housing / property management systems (Northgate or similar)
    • A strong knowledge of social housing management

    Disclosure and Barring Service:

    This role of requires the successful candidate to complete a basic DBS check. A basic DBS check will show any unspent convictions.

    So why do we need to know this information? This role will be required to visit / support PA Housing residents in their own homes on a regular basis. Therefore we have a duty to our residents to ensure that we have taken precautions regarding who will be visiting them and representing PA Housing.

    Having unspent convictions will not necessarily preclude you from being recruited into the role; if you are potentially the successful candidate, we will complete a risk assessment with you to understand the circumstances around your conviction, how relevant they are to the post you have applied for and what remedial action , if any, have you have taken since your conviction. Suitable references will also need to be obtained prior to commencement of employment.
