Description
We're looking for a Plant Tutor to join the Performance Improvement Department at Heysham 1.As one of our Plant Tutors you'll manage the Maintenance, Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Training Programmes on site.
You'll be responsible for the initial training of new Maintenance and C&I employees, as well as further facilitating organisational learning in support of safe reliable performance of the plant by ensuring all employees under your remit receive appropriate refresher, performance improvement and development training.
Pay, Benefits and Culture
The salary range associated with this role is between £40,069 to £84,892 however the starting salary for this appointment will be within the range of £40,069 to £60,826 and you'll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.
What you'll be doing
The key duties you'll carry out as a Plant Tutor within the Performance Improvement department will be:
- The development and delivery of training material, utilising the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process
- Deliver training in the classroom and plant simulator environments, as well as providing coaching and mentoring of trainees to expedite learning
- Act as course coordinator for the C&I training programmes, prepare Curriculum Review Committees (CRC) Program Health Reports (PHR)
- Maintain accreditation standards for the Maintenance and C&I programmes
- Automate training delivery for a sustainable delivery solution
- Ensure company values, safety and OpEx are embedded throughout the training, training material and lesson plans
- Communicate with Line Managers for the successful development of competence within their staff
- Fully contribute to the business plan in support of achievement of our company organisational goals
Who you are
As a Plant Tutor, you'll be required to as outlined within the Company Agreement hold a minimum of a HNC or equivalent in a relevant training or technical discipline.
Given the technicalities of the training you'll be providing, Maintenance or more specifically Control & Instrumentation experience would be advantageous as well as demonstrable experience of delivering high quality technical and practical training.
We're looking for individuals who take Systematic Approach to training process knowledge and are able to identify, analyse and solve technical problems effectively and efficiently.
Naturally, you'll be an effective communicator, highly engaging and able to work with a wide range of stakeholders who may be both internal and external to the business.
