Description

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a General Maintenance Operative for our client based in Braintree on a temporary basis.

Roles and responsibilities:

Taking instructions to follow a planned programme of works
Preparing surfaces ready for painting
Clearing areas to be worked in
Ensuring work areas are clean and safe for staff members
Ensuring stock levels are monitored and escalated to supervisor when needed
Cleaning walls before painting
Undercoating and top coating woodwork
Assisting the facilities team when needed to carry out tasks as the business requires

Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

Experience carrying out painting and decorating in commercial buildings
Team working skills
Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity
Good attention to detail
A good understanding of painting tools and materials
Good time management skills to ensure tasks are completed to a good standard and on time
Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of health and safety in the workplace

Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm with a 30 minute unpaid break.

In return our client offers a salary of £12.00 per hour with free onsite parking.
