    This Hospital is a 305-bed facility.

    Department of Medicine

    The Department provides Internal medicine services for the hospital, broader service and other health hubs in the region.

    It has an allocation of 32 medical beds, 8 "48 hour" beds, 5 coronary care beds, 9 palliative care beds (including chemotherapy) and outpatient clinics each week.

    Nephrology
    The Department of Nephrology provides comprehensive renal services.

    These include renal transplant (except acute transplant), acute and chronic kidney diseases, Dialysis, Satellite dialysis units, Tele-health and in-patient and outpatient renal services.

    The team consists of 3 Nephrologists, 1 Advanced Trainee, 1 Basic Physician Trainee and 1 RMO. The CME programs include weekly renal topic teaching and monthly histo-pathology meeting with a Brisbane hospital. Within General Medicine there is specific expertise in Diabetes and Respiratory Medicine.

    Manage haemodialysis patients in regional hubs and homes via telehealth and site visits when required.


    Inpatient:

    supervise inpatients admitted under Renal Services, performing procedures including renal biopsy as required and provision of clinical input to consultations from the various disciplines in the hospitals and hubs.
