    McCarthy and Stone are excited to recruit a new Development Accounts Business Partner within our busy, forward-thinking, Finance Department.

    Hours: 37 per week

    • Role will be a mix of working from home and being based in our modern Head office in Bournemouth 2-3 days each week.

    The role:

    The Development Accounts Business Partner will assist the Senior Development Accounts Business Partner in preparing accounts and budgets for a portfolio of Developments, business partnering Area Managers and Regional Operations Managers, ensuring queries are responded to in a timely manner. Be prepared to deputise for the Development Accounts Senior Partner as necessary. This role will suit a person who has a dedicated working style with the drive and enthusiasm to motivate others and improve processes.

    Our ideal candidate will have:

    • Experience of active business partnering in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
    • Experience of managing a varied group of stakeholders both financial and non-financial.
    • Ability of preparing multiple accounts and budgets to specific deadlines.
    • Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems, ideally with some experience of Adaptive, Qube and Power BI or other similar tools.
    • Worked within a Customer Service environment

    Main role and responsibilities of a Development Accounts Business Partnerinclude:

    • Prepare and distribute year end accounts for Developments within the required timescale.
    • Ensure robust process and controls are in place.
    • Ensure audit queries are cleared on time.
    • Prepare and distribute budgets within the required timescale.
    • Work closely with the Operation Managers to come up with realistic and reasonable budgets.
    • Prepare robust and clear commentary for the annual reports.
    • Support the Development and help manage financial reporting for the Developments via reporting systems including feeding in budget assumptions for specific functional areas.
    • Support meeting month-end accounts deliverables.
    • Support the delivery and ongoing development of quality homeowner reporting.
    • Key contact for Operation Managers and dedicated contact for at least one Divisional Director of Operations.
    • Attending the monthly meetings with their Operation Managers.
    • Ensure Operation Manager and Homeowner queries on accounts and budgets are responded to on a timely basis and in a professional manner which is conducive to our five-star Customer Satisfaction rating.
    • Represent Development Accounts at inductions and other ad hoc training for Operation Managers.
    • Support process improvement initiatives across Development Accounts.
    • Work alongside other members of the Services team as necessary to support business objectives.
    • Support and provide cover within the Development Business Partner team and other adhoc tasks at the request of the Development Accounts Manager/Head of Finance Business Partnering – Services.

    Skills and Experience required for our Development Accounts Business Partner

    • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or qualified by experience
    • High level attention to detail.
    • Strong organisation skills.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and professional mannerism.
    • Maintains a positive and 'can do' approach.
    • Flexible approach to working as required by business demands.
    • Goal focused with planning/organisational and delegation skills.
    • Able to stay calm under pressure.
    • Able to rapidly develop good working relationships, and work across organisational boundaries.
    • Operates with an approach of continuous improvement.
