    Project Engineer - Anaerobic Digestion
    Ayrshire, with travel around Scotland

    About the role: Astute's Renewables team is partnering with an established circular economy company, with over 10 years of experience in anaerobic digestion, to recruit a Project Engineer to be based in Girvan, but happy to travel to different sites in Scotland. The Project Engineer role comes with an excellent starting salary, private medical and career progression opportunities. The ideal candidate will have some prior knowledge of Anaerobic Digestion operations or a similar industry. Responsibilities and duties:
    Reporting to the Engineering Projects Implementation Leader, you will:
    • Collaborate with the Project Engineering Team Leader and Project Manager to ensure alignment with project budgets and timescales, fostering innovation and compliance with design information for new projects.
    • Implement effective tender strategies for external suppliers and contractors, overseeing tender submissions and procurement targets in coordination with the Project Engineering Team Leader and Project Manager.
    • Manage project targets, utilizing operational and support resources to achieve goals, and incorporate up-to-date cost forecasts, advising on potential cost movements. Monitor the change order and variation process.
    • Implement the commercial strategy for the project in collaboration with the Project Engineering Team Leader, Project Manager, and Finance Team. Monitor compliance with contract conditions, maintaining records, paperwork, and site diaries.
    • Ensure an appropriate skill base exists within the supplier base, manage and motivate the site team, and develop and review project progress with the Project Engineering Team Leader and Project Manager.
    • Collaborate with the HSE team to develop and implement a project-specific Quality Plan, monitor compliance with safety and environmental requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement across multiple operations sites.
    Professional qualifications:
    We are looking for someone with the following:
    • A degree level qualification in an Engineering, Chemical or Biochemical discipline
    • Project Management qualification or relevant experience
    • Full UK Driving License
