    A renowned leader in academic publishing is recruiting for two Associate Managing Editors to join its dynamic team to play a pivotal role facilitating the publication process for cutting-edge research across a diverse range of disciplines.     Associate Managing Editor: Key responsibilities

    • Hands-on journal development, including article-level commissioning and special collection development
    • Building specialised scientific knowledge of allocated subject areas
    • Working with external editors and internal Managing Editors to attract timely and up-to-date content to a portfolio of open access journals
    • Communicating with leading researchers around the world to carry out journal content initiatives
    • Driving revenue growth via increased submissions of APC-paying manuscripts

    Associate Managing Editor: Skills/experience

    • Educated to at least BSc level in a scientific or engineering discipline
    • Journals publishing experience in an editorial role
    • Excellent relationship management and communication skills and confidence in working with internal and external stakeholders, including senior academics
    • Proactive with good commercial awareness and a strong understanding of the open access journals publishing business and processes
