BPC Recruitment are an executive recruitment consultancy working with clients and experienced professionals across the UK.
Our client who due to continued growth are looking for a Surveyor to join their team from their offices in Essex.
This role is all encompassing and you will be responsible for managing the procurement and administration of the commercial interests of our client across a number of projects.
This includes the procurement and management of sub contractors to achieve thebest value to a programme whilst protecting the business.
Assist in analysis of subcontractor and material price book maintenance. Assist in budgeting, production of material schedules and tendering.
You will need to work closely with the estimating team to ensure the timely generation of sales quotes against drawings/estimates supplied by either the inhouse design team or customers.
Key areas in role of Surveyor:
- Dealing with subcontractors' costs from Pre Lim to final accounting stage.
- Undertake day to day functions of production sites, issuing requisition, addenda & PVO's and raising subsequent orders including close liaison with site management to ensure smooth running of site
- Work closely with all departments particularly the construction, technical and sales teams to ensure a strong regional team
- Always build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors whilst protecting the commercial controls and procedures of our client.
- Review and work to SPS Schedules to ensure subcontract orders are placed to site programmes
- Review drawings to identify scope of works for each trade, carry out tender analysis & negotiation, revise scope accordingly to site requirements and produce recommendation forms, order and proformas
- Produce and issue tender enquiries to new and existing subcontractors
- Produce quality tender lists in a timely manner for approval
- Ensure subcontractors are approved in accordance with procedures
- Assist estimating to determine allowances and exclusion in budget, specification and any other requirements
- Monitor production of information to advise on financial feasibility of design
- Produce postproduction report providing feedback to estimating, construction and commercial.
