Data Integration (ETL) Support Engineer

• £285/day Inside IR35 (via Umbrella)
• Initial 6 month contract
• Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite (non-negotiable)
• Harbour Exchange Square, London
• March start

Purpose of the Role:

You will be supporting both production and non-production environments covering the following aspects: communicating with Data Centre/Help Desk staff, analysing/finding failure to reach root cause, resolving issues by liaising with development teams, liaising with internal and external support teams and providing explanations to their business clients.

Main Duties:

• Managing and supporting ETL processes, troubleshooting ETL jobs and other company systems including early/nightly batch processing in the event of failure
• Out of office hours support is required as part of the Application and Operations support team
• Liaising with the relevant support teams (i.e. Technical Support, Network, Infrastructure, DBA) when users experience system issues

Experience Required:

• Japanese language skills are essential, ideally some experience within a Japanese corporate environment
• Experience of working in a similar environment
• Strong understanding of Windows environments
• Excellent problem solving abilities
• Some development experience is required in one or more traditional programming language (i.e. C#, C++, Java etc.)
