A great opportunity to join the Kuehne+Nagel transport team in Kineton.

Your Role

The Transport Manager will lead the Transport function through an effective vision and strategy.
They will effectively plan, deliver and lead the Transport operation to meet the customer service and budget requirements at all times. Ensuring legal compliance within EU, Health and Safety and company legislative standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage transport resources – people, vehicle and costs. 23 employees – 11 Prime Movers and 27 Trailers - multi million pound budget.
• Effective management and leadership of transport team
• Providing monthly reports in line with management and company requirements
• Ensuring compliance is adhered to according to company and legislative requirements
• Provide a culture of improvement and team effectiveness to ensure a strong team spirit and good team morale
• Promote effective, positive communication with staff, managers, internal and external customer to ensure agreed service level achieved
• Ensure all health and safety obligations are met providing a legal and safe working environment that consistently exceeds quality standards
• Develop operational improvements through an effective trained/flexible workforce focused on delivering service improvements, accurate resource levels and cost reductions

Your Skills and Experiences

• Experience within an operations environment (preferably with moving hazardous products Class 1 to 9) that demonstrates the capability to build, lead, manage and motivate a team
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal at all levels
• Previous experience of managing budgets and cost control
• Results orientated, willing to take ownership for setting and achieving high standards and targets
• An excellent customer service attitude and approach
• Must have Managers CPC (International)
