Purpose of Job:

The role reports into the Head of Funds, Jersey and have significant oversight responsibility for the Jersey Funds business.
Ensure consistent delivery to existing and potentially new clients, of the highest quality of professional service and thus protect and enhance the Group's reputation


Directly contribute to the profitability of the Group; meeting the division's strategic and operational objectives set by the Group Board.


Effectively lead, manage and motivate the senior management team and ultimately the wider Group, to ensure that all employees are suitably managed, developed and motivated to continuously thrive within their role and thus be able to demonstrate the required core competencies to be a JTC employee.

Play an integral role in establishing and maintaining Group standards and values.


Main Responsibilities and Duties:


Business Strategy Development:


  • Responsible for the success of the Jersey funds business and to achieve agreed targets and standards for optimum financial and operational performance, quality, culture and legislative adherence
  • To identify, develop and direct the implementation of the funds business strategy which extends to measurement of KPIs
  • To deliver and integrate initiatives to promote the achievement of operational, financial and business performance
  • Manage and assess performance against agreed targets and budgets, thus ensuring all budgetary and performance targets are achieved and Group KPI's are maintained
  • Deputise in the absence of a fellow director or Group director

Business Initiative Development:


  • Effectively manage and accurately price new business enquiries, ensuring the resources and services provided by the Group are fully explained
  • Active participation at internal business development meetings; demonstrate an ability to identify new business opportunities and where possible introduce prospective new business to the Group
  • Represent the team and JTC externally at networking events and through LinkedIn to promote the brand
  • Client Development / Retention
  • Client Management/administration
  • Attend and lead client meetings, either on or off site. Liaise with professional advisors to ensure the Group delivers both a proficient and added value service
  • Develop, retain and enhance long term relationships with clients, their advisers, intermediaries and other introducers of work, maintaining a high level of client care
  • Maintain a "working" knowledge of all the jurisdictions' clients, in order to nurture close working relationships with other Group directors, directors, associate directors and employees of the Group
  • Member of board/divisional meetings, contributing to board papers/reports as appropriate and specifically ICS Global board.

Performance Assessment / People Development:


  • Develop, coach and mentor senior management team, providing guidance on the management of employees according to Group standards and policy; ensuring employee's and division's adherence to their contractual obligations
  • Recruit, select, develop and mentor senior management team members
  • Direct specific functions and performance via the senior management team
  • Maintain and develop the Group's culture, vision, values and reputation within the marketplace and in addition with all employees, clients, intermediaries and regulatory/official bodies
  • Ensure that the spirit of JTC is engendered and shared within the Group
  • Develop an ability to inspire and motivate the global Funds team and the wider Group to sustain the Group's unique stakeholder culture
  • Self-Development to include develop self, and ensure knowledge in relevant field at all times
  • Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and inhouse procedures

Corporate Governance Enforcement / Implementation:


  • Execute the responsibilities of a Group Director according to lawful and ethical standards, as stated within the Group's own policies and procedures and those of the applicable regulatory bodies
  • Fulfil the function of "Senior Client Director" or "Client Director" on appropriate client entities
  • Ensure good corporate governance in accordance with regulatory requirements while aligning to the Group's overall aims, business plan and long term strategy
  • Provide any other duties as defined or deemed necessary by the Group Board
  • Play a proactive role in the assessment of risks associated with Division/Jurisdiction portfolio of clients, and where relevant, the Group's business as a whole
  • Remain aware of the obligations for the reporting of unusual transactions and act as a guide to the Group in this respect
  • Act as an "A" signatory

Essential Requirements:


  • Proven track record in service clients at Director level
  • Strong preference for Real Estate experience
  • Experience of holding director roles on client boards
  • Experience of hold
