    Description

    We are looking for a team of Kitchen Assistants to assist us over the busy summer events season working with some of our high end private catering clients helping to prep and plate up food at a variety of functions including weddings, corporate garden parties and festivals. If you are hard-working with some food preparation experience in a commercial kitchen, knowledge of food safety and allergens and are able to work flexible hours then we would like to hear from you.

    Role Specifics:

    ·Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients according to Head Chefs instructions

    ·Using equipment such as mixers, knives and cutters

    ·Unloading supplies and organising fridges and stock rooms by rotating food stock accordingly

    ·Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans

    ·Observing cooking times and correct temperatures

    ·Assisting kitchen team to plate up at events and functions

    Competencies:

    ·Excellent team player who is able to follow instructions and work quickly

    ·Good attention to detail

    ·Proactive with a can-do attitude and hands on approach

    ·Knowledge of food hygiene and allergens and willing to complete free training at Level 2

    ·Reliable and trustworthy

    ·Strong English language skills
