Description
Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a HR Policy Officer to work with one of our Local Authority clients in West London.
What the job will be doing
- Support the lifecycle of policy development including the review, development, consultation and approval of a framework of HR policies and guidance that promotes organisational, system and national objectives that meet the demands of our changing environmentand priorities
- Use your HR knowledge and research skills to support the team and ensuring HR principles and policies reflect best practice, our values, core behaviours, are legally compliant, nondiscriminatory and reviewed on a regular basis
- Work closely with colleagues across People & Talent and other internal and external stakeholders on a range of People related matters.
What you will need
- Proven experience of HR policy implementation
- Experience of working with trade unions and staff representatives
- Have a coordinated and logical approach to updating and implementing policies
- Ability to gather and research information from a broad range of sources, to interpret complex and technical information and to analyse data to inform policy
- Identify strategy, initiate and manage projects/policies and consider risk
- Proven ability to present and explain policy positions to a range of audiences
- Networking and negotiation skills to build and maintain professional relationships
