Warehouse and Fulfilment Manager

Opportunity

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall operational running of the company warehouse including fostering a positive team culture and being actively involved in team tasks.

You will be responsible for the overall warehouse management and the effective real-time operational control and movement of materials including UK, China and Europe. You will be responsible for ensuring all warehouse processes are running smoothly and the highest levels of all customer service are delivered, effectively and efficiently.

Main duties

Manage an effective stock management, control, movement, and warehousing framework to cover multiple warehouse locations, include temporary and mobile locations.

Review and maintain a suite of standard operating procedures (SOP) that ensures the effective and efficient management of services that meet Hutchison Technologies strategic objectives and operational goals.

Manage the control infrastructure ensuring appropriate mechanisms and stress testing, including supply chain management, stock optimisation, item cataloguing, technical standard verification, and asset management.

Deliver a fit for purpose compliance risk register mapping risks against probability, exposure, and mitigation, and identify the most appropriate risk owner.

Automate processes and procedures where feasible and practicable.

Lead continuous improvement activities adapting to change in a timely manner.

Understand customer demands through close collaboration with functions across Hutchison Technologies and Hutchison Group, building adequate protocols into the warehouse SOP that promotes an excellent customer experience.

Identify your internal stakeholder group and collaborate positively, timely and actively with this stakeholder group always, employing a 'one-team' solutions focused approach.

Take ownership of any internal stakeholder or external customer feedback reporting failures of the warehouse expected performance, working positively and collaborative to resolve such matters with urgency.

Manage your team ensuring team members understand output expectations and hold objectives.

Train and develop your team providing a working environment that provides for the health, safety, and welfare of your team.

Champion health and safety culture in line with Hutchison Technologies principles.

Requirements

Demonstrable warehouse, stock management and logistics management procedures, and continuous improvement experience

People management experience in a comparable role

Demonstrable experience in supplier and cost management

Computerised management systems expertise, preferably Sage and Quotewerks or willing to learn these tools

Commercial acumen

Excellent multi-skilled communicator, with the ability to prepare management reporting

Attention to detail

Collaborative leadership style

Able to maintain proficiency in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

Holder of suitable health, safety, environment and quality qualifications and experience

First aid qualifications
