    The role
    As a Programme Engineering Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is a great opportunity to lead a Design team, working on new and exciting international projects as part of a rapidly expanding organisation.

    Day-to-day, you'll oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering activity within the project, ensuring work is completed on time, to budget against the project lifecycle as well as:

  • Ensuring engineering processes and deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with best practices achieving product quality and safety aims and objectives
  • Ensuring the product complies with relevant engineering standards, legislations, regulations, and security requirements, liaising with the Chief Engineer
  • Managing and leading engineering teams, ensuring they have the resources, guidance, and support needed to perform effectively
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with the project and product, making proactive decisions to prevent or address issues as they arise
  • Reporting on engineering activity in support of project performance indicators (PI's) and maintaining alignment of outputs with the Head of Department, Programme and Project Managers

    • This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites within the UK and overseas, as a requirement of the role.

    This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

    Essential experience of the Programme Engineering Manager

  • Demonstrable systems engineering management and solution design and delivery experience
  • Full lifecycle engineering management experience
  • Knowledge of UK MOD practices and ways of working
  • Software and hardware integration experience

    • Qualifications for the Programme Engineering Manager

  • Degree or equivalent in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering
  • HNC/HND with equivalent relevant experience is valued and welcomed
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards

    • Security Clearance
    The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
