    The Role

    We are seeking a professional to lead the buying function of the company, leaving a lasting impact not only on the department but on the entire organization.

    You will be responsible for various aspects of product lifecycles within the business, from sourcing ingredients & packaging to the final product delivery.


    Main responsibilities include:

    • Sourcing (including for NPD)
    • Negotiating
    • Procurement
    • Ordering
    The product range you will oversee comprises fresh, frozen, and ambient ingredients, primary & tertiary packaging, and finished products.

    Key responsibilities involve:

    • Managing suppliers for production and distribution items, as well as those for the NPD team
    • Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, particularly for NPD items
    • Focus on achieving cost savings
    • Ensuring timely availability of ingredients & packaging without overstocking
    • Involvement in key projects such as warehouse expansion
    • Assisting with planning & sourcing of equipment requirements

    With a direct line to the COO, you will have access to the crucial decision-makers in the company and benefit from their support.

    This role calls for a proactive individual who thrives in autonomy and challenging settings.

    Bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience, you should have prior experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment and a positive mentality.

    A comprehensive understanding of the buying function is essential, ideally with direct food production experience or a willingness to learn.

    You must be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with colleagues at all levels.
