Description

Vergo Pest Management Ltd is the largest independent national pest service provider in the UK today. Through continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Falconer to join our Specialist Services Team, based in the North East.

As a key member of the Specialist Services Team, you will undertake jobs at commercial and government properties, throughout the UK on a routine and reactive basis.

Primarily, you will play a key role in providing an efficient and effective service, by travelling to various sites throughout the UK to undertake specialist hawking works to prevent pest bird species from causing a nuisance to neighbouring properties and breaking their behavioural patterns by implementing various solutions.

Key duties:

The Falconer is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of hawking works that is to be carried out for our customers to include:

Improve nuisance bird behavioural patterns and monitor nuisance bird populations for various clients.
Identify and implement strategic bird management solutions.
Care for Hawks / Falcons outside of working hours e.g., maintain Hawks / Falcons flying weight.
Complete detailed service reports following your site visit.
Promote our Home Safe Everyday philosophy by ensuring compliance to company H&S policies and procedures.
Any other ad hoc duties as required by the needs of the business.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

2+ years experience of working and flying birds of prey.

(Essential)**:

Broad knowledge of Falconry.
Competent written & verbal communication skills
The ability to work effectively and independently with mínimal supervision.
To be methodical and systematic in your approach to work.
Be comfortable using mobile phone apps.
Have excellent attention to detail.
Full valid driving licence
