    Mount Eveswell is a rehabilitation unit for brain injury patients. We also look after complex nursing needs patients as well. . The unit is situated in Newport, South wales. At Mount Eveswell, we pride ourselves on offering flexible working arrangements, and we always have a second nurse on duty.

    Job Advert Role Description

    We are looking for a hard-working staff who is willing to learn and happy to work with a MDT team.

    Principle responsibilities:

  • To assist service users who require help with getting in and out of bed, dressing and undressing, washing, showering, bathing, and using the toilet
  • To help service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence; help in use and care of aids and personal equipment
  • To care for service users who are temporarily sick and requiring help with feeding etc,
  • To help with the promotion of mental and physical activities such as reading, writing and hobbies and recreations
  • To make and change beds; tidy rooms; and do light cleaning.
  • To set table and trays; help serve meals; feed service users who require help; prepare light snacks; wash up; tidy and clear dining rooms
  • To be present at reports read and write them where necessary; take part in service users meetings and in training activities as directed
  • To perform such duties as may reasonably be required
  • To comply with the units guidelines and policies at all times
  • To report to the nurse in charge any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a service user
  • To encourage service users independence at all times
