    Job Description: SEN Tutor

    Location: East of England, Essex, Southend

    Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

    Primary Industry: Education and Training

    Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

    Job Duties:

    • Provide tailored support and guidance to students with special educational needs (SEN)
    • Develop individualised learning plans based on students' specific needs and abilities
    • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to help students progress academically and socially
    • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
    • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the students' education

    Required Qualifications:

    • Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs
    • Experience working with students with SEN
    • Strong understanding of education policies and procedures
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Education:

    Degree in Education or related field

    Experience:

    Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with special educational needs

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
    • Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual student needs
    • Strong organisational and time management skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
    • Experience working in a school or educational setting

    Working Conditions:

    • Temporary position with the possibility of extension
    • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
    • Work in a school or home environment with students with SEN

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
