Commercial Account Handler

Location: Glasgow

Salary: Dependant on experience

The Company:

We are working with a well established insurance broker who are looking for an experienced account handler to join their new business team.

This is a fast paced and technical role within the new business placement team, it wouldn't include any generating of leads as all enquires are provided for you.

The Role:

As a New Business Account Handler you will be responsible for the placement of all the new business clients that are generated via various different channels, including Account Directors, Account Executives and a Lead generation team.

You will use technical knowledge and your ability to negotiate with underwriters in the open market to secure best level of cover in line with insurance requirements. The role will include a variety of cross class commercial clients and you will be dealing with clients with a premium spend of £50,000 + GWP.

The Required Skills:

Previous proven experience in Commercial Broking, dealing with risks above £50,000 GWP

Acturis experience is preferable, experience placing risks into the open market is essential

Strong IT, Communication and technical ability

Cert CII is preferable however, support will be provided
